Indiana Africans United (IAU) was founded by visionary AFRICAN DIASPORA LEADERS from various African nations in the United States. Under the leadership of Mr. Lamadine O. ABDOULAYE, they addressed the pressing challenges faced by African immigrants in the state of Indiana and the broader needs of the African continent. Indiana Africans United is founded on the core belief that African immigrants, refugees, and their descendants in Indiana and the US deserve a unified voice and supportive community to thrive in their adopted home while preserving their rich cultural heritage.

We exist to bridge cultures, foster understanding, and create opportunities for African communities across the Hoosier State and beyond to succeed through mutual support, cultural celebration, and active civic engagement. We believe that by standing together, sharing resources, and supporting one another, African communities in Indiana and the US can build a brighter future while enriching the cultural fabric of our state. Through unity, mutual respect, and dedicated service, we work to ensure that all African immigrants and their families can achieve their full potential as valued members of Indiana society.
